Saturday's Maude's Crack Hike

Fifteen hikers braved the ice in Maude's Crack and high water elsewhere on the trail.
The first and last 20' or so thru Maude's Crack were icy on both the tread and walls so there were plenty of dirty butt awards after we tobogganed down the passage. We crossed No Business creek at the end of the hike so wet feet were only a problem for the last mile. Some hikers climbed up to John Muir overlook while the rest got a history lesson from Bill at the old Roysden farmstead. The history lesson is captured in one of Ginger's photos from the overlook. See Jim's photos also.
