Wednesday 10-5-2011 Hike -- Buzzard Point and Snow Falls

Wednesday's hike will be Buzzard Point and Snow Falls (if we think we can cross the creek above the falls). The hike will be 7-8 mi in somewhat more difficult than typical terrain. It features Snow Falls (35 feet), two scenic overlooks, Buzzard Point, Dunn Overlook, scenic creeks, steep gorges, and geologic features.  Bring extra old shoes that you don't mind getting wet to cross a creek. This hike begins at the Laurel Falls trailhead, so we'll depart from Trinity Tabernacle Church on Rt 127 South at 8:00am CT (note the change in departure time). Carpool cost is $5.
