Wednesday, October 30, 2013, Hike -- Honey Creek, Big South Fork

This is one of the best hikes in the area and features waterfalls, rock houses, and gorge overlooks. The trail is 5.6 miles in length and fairly difficult due to rock scrambles, steep slopes, and stream crossings; a portion of the hike is in a very slippery creek bed which must be hiked with extreme caution. Although strenuous, the hike is worth the effort. Depart from Cracker Barrel at 8:00 am CT. Gas cost $7. Photos: Pat
