We canceled Wednesday's Smokey's hike due to bad weather. There is rain in the forecast for Newfound Gap and, more importantly, the mountain is likely to be socked in with clouds.We'll schedule another Smokey's hike on October 21. This Wednesday will do Middle Creek/Slave Falls, weather permitting.We'll meet at crackerbarrel at 6:45. Figure $5 for gas.The planned hike is about 8 mi in easier than typical terrain. If the weather looks bad, we can pick a shorter hike.
