Wednesday, January 21, 2015, Hike -- Rock Creek Loop

This is an 8 mile hike, and is rated moderate with some short climbs. We hike the trail "backwards" to avoid the strenuous climb out. The trail follows the banks of Rock Creek, a tributary of the Big South Fork River. It also overlaps parts of the John Muir and Sheltowee Trace Trails. The trail follows part of the old Stearns Logging Railroad along Massey Branch. Depart at 8:00 am CT behind Cracker Barrel. Gas cost $5. Photos: Pat
